Privacy policy

At a glance
FalconCast IPTV is a player for the playlist you bring. There is no FalconCast account, no analytics and no tracking of what you watch. We don't sell or rent any data. What you set up in the app stays on your device; the few outside services the app talks to are listed below, each with what it receives.
What stays on your device
Your playlists (name, server address, username and password, or the M3U link, and a copy of any M3U file you import), favorites, My lists, resume points, recently tuned channels, pinned categories, reminders, Flight check results, your viewing settings and the child lock PIN, kept only as a salted hash. All of it sits in the app's private storage. We never receive it. Your device's own backup (iCloud or a computer) may include it, under your Apple account.
Your IPTV provider
FalconCast connects straight to the server of the provider you added: to sign in, load categories, channels, movies, series, logos, the TV guide and the streams themselves. Those requests carry your login and your IP address, as any streaming request does. Nothing passes through us. Your provider's own privacy policy covers what it does with them.
The app settings file
At launch the app downloads a small settings file from our server: whether ads are on, how often they show, and the keys the purchase service needs. Nothing about you is sent with that request. Like any web server, ours can see the request's IP address; we don't use it to identify anyone.
TV guide
Guide data comes from your provider, or from a guide link you add or that your playlist names. It is downloaded directly from there and cached on your device so the guide opens quickly. Removing a playlist deletes its cached guide.
Reminders
When you tap Remind me, the app schedules a notification on your device with the channel and programme name. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. iOS asks for permission the first time; you can change it at any time in iOS Settings.
Flight check
A Flight check measures only against your own provider: it times one request to its server, then reads a few of its live streams for a few seconds (never more than about 20 MB). The app also reads whether you are on Wi-Fi or mobile data, to warn you before using data. Results, with the date and network type, stay on your device: the last 10 per playlist. You can clear them from the Flight check screen.
Ads and tracking
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, Google's consent form asks for your choices first, and you can change them later in Settings under Ad privacy choices. iOS then asks whether apps may track you. If you allow it, AdMob can use your device's advertising identifier to show ads that fit you better. If you don't, ads are less personal. The app works the same either way. AdMob may also receive your IP address, device type and how you interact with the ads, as Google's own privacy policy describes. FalconCast Pro shows no ads at all.
Purchases
FalconCast Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or your Apple ID. To confirm that Pro is active on your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase records, nothing more.
Email support
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use them only to answer you and delete the conversation once it no longer helps with your question. Please never send your provider password.
Children and the child lock
FalconCast is not made for children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone, children included. The child lock is a tool for parents: it hides or locks sections, categories and channels behind a 4-digit PIN. The PIN never leaves the device and is stored only as a salted hash, so even the app cannot read it back.
Your choices
Remove a playlist to delete it together with everything tied to it: favorites, lists, resume points, recent channels, lock rules, reminders and its cached guide. Clear the watch history of the active playlist in Settings. Change ad consent in Settings and tracking or notifications in iOS Settings. Deleting the app erases everything it stored on the device.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, this policy changes first and the date at the top moves. An update that matters will also be mentioned in the App Store release notes.
