How do I add a playlist?

Open the Flight deck menu, choose Playlists and add one. Step 1: give it a name. Step 2: pick Xtream Codes or M3U link (or the small M3U file link). Step 3: fill in the details from your provider, then tap Check & add. FalconCast tests the playlist before saving it. Remember: the app has no channels of its own, so you need a subscription from a provider.

Xtream Codes or M3U: which one?

If your provider gave you a server address, a username and a password, choose Xtream Codes: you get proper categories, movie and series details, the TV guide, catch-up and your account's expiry date. An M3U link or file is a single list of streams; its TV guide works only if the list names one or you add a guide link, and it has no catch-up. Got a long link with get.php, username and password in it? Paste it under M3U link or use Paste a link: FalconCast spots the Xtream account and uses it.

What's the difference between free and Pro?

Free plays everything in your playlist, with one playlist and ads. FalconCast Pro gives you unlimited playlists, lets you create My lists and removes every ad. Apple bills Pro and it renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple ID's subscription settings. On a new device, tap Restore purchases in Settings.

How do I switch to another playlist?

Open the Flight deck menu, choose Playlists and tap the one you want. It becomes the active playlist and every section reloads from it. An expired Xtream account can't be made active. Holding more than one playlist needs Pro; on the free plan, remove the current one first.

How do favorites work?

Tap the star on a channel, movie, series or episode. Find them all under Favorites in the Flight deck menu, filtered by type. Removed one by mistake? Tap Undo and it goes back where it was. Favorites belong to the playlist that was active when you added them.

What are My lists?

Your own named collections, such as Weekend films or Kids channels, each with a colour and the kind of items it accepts. Creating a list needs Pro. Lists you already made stay usable, and you can still add to them, if Pro ends.

How does Continue watching work?

Movies and episodes remember where you stopped and show up under Continue watching on the home screen. Once you've seen about 95 %, an item counts as finished and drops off. To start fresh, remove items one by one, or clear the watch history of the active playlist in Settings.

How do I set up the child lock?

Go to Settings, then Child lock, and choose a 4-digit PIN. Then lock whole sections, single categories or single channels. Locked items ask for the PIN. Entering it opens the playlist until you tap Lock again or restart the app. After 5 wrong tries the keypad waits 30 seconds.

I forgot my child lock PIN. What now?

There is no back door, and that is what keeps the lock worth having. The PIN is stored only as a scrambled hash, so neither the app nor our support can read or reset it. The only way out is to delete FalconCast and install it again. That also erases your playlists, favorites, lists, resume points and settings, so keep your provider's login details at hand to add the playlist again.

Playback keeps buffering. What can I do?

Run a Flight check to see whether the line is the problem. Then try: move closer to your router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data; restart the router; stop other devices that are streaming; try another channel, since one server can be busy while the rest are fine. Make sure your account isn't already in use on its maximum number of connections (shown on the playlist in Playlists). If everything buffers at every hour, talk to your provider.

How do I read a Flight check result?

Response time (ms) is how quickly your provider's server answers: lower is better. Download speed (Mbit/s) comes from reading a few of its live streams for about 8 seconds. Smooth for 4K means 25 Mbit/s or more, Good for HD 8 or more, OK for SD 3 or more; below that it says Too slow. The result measures your network and the provider's server together, at that moment. Your last 10 checks per playlist are kept on the device and can be cleared.

Why is a channel, movie or series missing?

FalconCast shows exactly what your provider sends and adds nothing of its own. If something is missing, broken or in the wrong category, it is missing at the source: ask your provider. Some M3U playlists contain only live channels, so Movies and Series stay empty. Also check the child lock: a locked category may be hidden.

Why is the TV guide empty?

Either the provider sends no guide, or the playlist doesn't say where to find one. For an M3U playlist, open Playlists, then the playlist's TV guide options, and add a guide link (XMLTV) from your provider. Then tap Refresh guide. If the guide is there but at the wrong hours, see the time shift question below.

What is catch-up, and why do only some channels have it?

Catch-up plays programmes that already aired. It works only on Xtream channels that your provider records, for as many days as it keeps them. Those channels carry a REWIND badge, and their past programmes can be played from the TV guide or from the player's Today list. M3U playlists have no catch-up.

My reminder didn't ring. Why?

Reminders are local notifications, so FalconCast needs permission to send them: check iOS Settings, Notifications, FalconCast IPTV. A Focus mode or Scheduled Summary can hold them back. A reminder rings 5 minutes before the start, and it disappears if you remove its playlist. If the start time looked wrong, the guide's time shift may need adjusting.

The guide times are off. How do I fix them?

Some providers send their guide in the wrong time zone. Open Playlists, then the playlist's TV guide options, and set the time shift: from -12 to +12 hours, in 30-minute steps. It moves the times shown in the guide and your reminders; the streams themselves don't change.

How much mobile data does it use?

That depends on the stream your provider sends: SD uses roughly 1 GB an hour, HD often 3 GB or more, 4K much more. A Flight check uses up to about 20 MB, and on mobile data the app tells you and asks before it starts. On a limited plan, stick to Wi-Fi for long viewing.

How do I contact support?

Write to support@falconapp.com. Mention your app version (bottom of Settings), whether the playlist is Xtream or M3U, and what you already tried. For problems with channels or your account, your provider is the faster route. Never send us your password.
